Although, the Brigada Eskwela is officially up to May 25th, we still need to continue the unfinished projects like the Alumni Park Proposal. Alumni members from Batch 86 to 89 who were present in the meeting, pledged to support this project. But, any members of the alumni other than the batch previously mentioned are most welcome to help raise funds and donate their time and efforts in this endeavor. “Mas maganda nga mas maraming tumulong. Little by little everyday, nakikita gumaganda yung park.”
DIFFERENT COMMITTEES
We also came up with 10 different committees where the different batches are free to choose where they want to join. And, if alumni are not available to personally participate, their donations (in cash or in kind are also welcome). Below are the committees:

2. Repainting of school gate & facade headed by the Barangay San Agustin;

For the spirit of volunteerism and “Bayanihan”, aside from donations (in cash or in kind) that the alumni can pledge, volunteers from members of the alumni to join in the different committees (as mentioned above) are most welcome!
Thank you NHSOC and the alumni members, for all the support. God bless."

2012 NHS Alumni Emergency Meeting Update:
By: Chona Villafuerte-Go NHS Batch '86
NHSOC Site Administrator
NHSOC is pleased to announce that the recently concluded meeting last Friday, May 11th in connection with the upcoming 2012 NHS Brigada Eskwela activity had been truly rewarding both for the faculty and the alumni present. Mrs. Evelyn Baradas presided the meeting, with a total of 19 participants: alumni from Batch ’73, 77, 78, 82, 86, 87, 88, 89, 95, 98 & 2006, and faculty members including the principal; and it seemed everyone had been open-minded and were willing to help in any ways they are needed. And, I personally think that with the new principal Dr. Proceso T. Lera and the active participation of our alumni members, we’re really going to have an incredibly fun and productive year at our alma mater.
We welcome Dr. Proceso T. Lera’s leadership and wish him well in his new role as Novaliches High School principal beginning school year 2012-2013.
Below is the narrative summary of the emergency meeting minutes submitted to NHSOC by Ms. Imee Donguiness Batch ’82 (also, a NHS Faculty member) and Ms. Leah Reyes-Kagahastian Batch ’86:
I. CARAVAN/MOTORCADE: Sunday, May 20th
A. Time:
- Assembly & Registration at Novaliches High School: Begins at 7:00AM
- Start of Caravan/Motorcade: 8:00AM
B. Participating Batch Identification:
- Each vehicle for use in the caravan should have batch identification while each participating alumni should have a unifying shirt color distinctive of the batch they are representing (Example: Batch 82: pink shirt)
C. Brigada Contest: Criteria for the contest is the number of participants, the more alumni members participating the better is our chance of winning. Another criteria for the contest is the amount of donation (in kind/or in cash) that will be raised for the event. Example: For donations of food (refreshments) or other donations in kind, the value cost will be evaluated and included in the overall cash value amount raised.
In fact, the new principal Dr. Lera (Former North Fairview High School principal) shared his prior experience as the proud winner “Hall of Famer” For Brigada, for consecutive years, countrywide division. And with the enthusiasm shown by the alumni members present in the meeting he is confident that Novaliches High School will have a bigger chance this coming Brigada.
