By Cherrylene "Wendy" Viola Monreal Batch 1980
NHSOC Brigada Eskwela Coordinator In-charge
Torres at Bb. Kaya naman first year section 1, agad ako!"..hehehe)
Gorgeous" at si papable Kuya Pres Reden, "hello! big man". "Happy Birthday! Kuya Mer!"

2008 Novaliches High School Brigada Eskwela
By Chona Villafuerte-Go NHS Batch '86
NHS On-line Community Website Administrator
Every year NHSOC is dedicating ourselves to establishing and support various NHS programs and activities. And as part of our thrust to support programs that improve the physical state of our alma mater thru collaboration and community-building activities, together with Novaliches High School, we would like to invite all NHSOC members, family and friends to join our committee volunteers for one-day NHSOC Brigada Eskwela participation tentatively set for Thursday, May 22, 2008.
Brigada Eskwela is a nationwide schools maintenance program that draws all education stakeholders – including the private sector -- to contribute their time, efforts and resources to ensure that public schools are physically ready for the opening of classes.
According to the Department of Education, “Brigada Eskwela was launched in 2003 and has since captured the imagination of the private and public sectors all over the country. The excitement for this annual program has swelled the number of participating schools from 12,533 during its first run five years ago to 36,000 schools in 2007."

Official NHSOC Invitation signed by NHS Principal Dr. Noemi M. Moncada, Ed. D. Lib and Mrs. Nora A. Torres, ASTP for Special Projects
-----------------------------
However, given just a few days notification we understand that it will be quite difficult for most of our NHSOC members to come down and take off from their work to attend this year’s Brigada Eskwela for this coming week. Sir Gilore said, “Because it was originally scheduled on June 2- 6, 2008 then later on retracted and moved instead to May 19-24, 2008, the faculty is deeply sorry for the inconvenience resulting to the delay in informing our on-line community regarding the final date of the said event. Hope you guys can still make it.”
Together with the following NHSOC Special Project Committee: Cherrylene Viola Monreal Batch ’80, Thess Bajandi Batch ’82, Ronaldo Dalistan Batch ’85 and Julie "Juls" Sudla Batch ’85, we are working overtime to gather member support for this event.
